Communication Skills for Supervisors & Trainers
Communication Skills for Supervisors & Trainers
Communicating effectively is one of the biggest challenges a trainer or supervisor faces. How can you be sure that your presentation or instruction is received and understood? How can you establish an atmosphere where participants are both challenged and comfortable enough to ask questions and interact? These issues and others exist together with the fact that each learner thinks and feels differently and behaves and responds to situations differently.
Training demands an elegant execution of a complex set of skills. A great trainer has to deliver material in line with set objectives while trying to observe himself/herself from the participant’s point of view. A trainer must constantly question, gesture and observe body language to measure how effectively he or she is communicating.
This dynamic and interactive two-day course will deliver proven strategies for effective communication. The mechanics of communication will be examined in detail and theories on individual differences will be demystified. The participants will have many opportunities to practice communication skills on each other. Short videos of communication scenarios will also be analyzed.
